Blast in Kabul kills three people
At least three people were killed in an explosion in a busy place in Deh Mazang area in the west of Kabul on Wednesday afternoon, a Taliban spokesman confirmed.
At least 13 more were wounded in the explosion, said Khalid Zadran, a Taliban spokesman, adding that the incident might be due to a gas cylinder explosion, but it is not confirmed yet.
He said a probe has started into the incident.
Eyewitnesses said the explosion happened during a busy hour at a restaurant in Deh Mazang area in Kabul’s District 3, where hundreds of people visit two key offices: the traffic directorate and the Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat or DABS which is the country’s power distributor.
The wounded were taken to Istiqlal Hospital in Kabul. Footage on social media showed many of those wounded in the incident.
