Who were killed in Israel’s strikes on Iran?

Israel’s “Operation Rising Lion,” a large-scale military strike aimed at disrupting Iran’s nuclear capabilities, appears to have resulted in the deaths of several senior Iranian military and scientific figures, according to state media in Tehran.

The identities of those confirmed killed are:

General Hossein Salami, commander in chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps

General Gholamali Rashid, head of Khatam-al Anbiya Central Headquarters

Fereydoun Abbasi, nuclear scientist and former director of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization

Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi, nuclear scientist involved in Iran’s weapons program

General Mohammad Bagheri, chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces

Iranian officials also report that Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was seriously wounded.

The targeted assassination of both military leaders and nuclear experts marks a significant escalation in regional tensions. Israel portrays the operation as a preemptive measure to thwart future nuclear threats. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely for further developments.
