The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) condemned attacks in Kabul and Kunduz, urging the protection of Afghan civilians and emphasizing that violence has no place in the country.

In a statement on X, UNAMA called for safeguarding the security and well-being of the Afghan people.

“The security and well-being of the Afghan people must be protected,” the mission said.

In Kabul, an explosion targeted the Taliban-run Ministry of Urban Development, killing at least one person and wounding five others, according to Emergency, a nonprofit providing medical assistance in Afghanistan. Four of the wounded were reported to be in critical condition.

Meanwhile, in Kunduz, a suicide bombing claimed by the Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K) struck a gathering of Taliban members and government employees waiting to receive their salaries at a bank. At least 25 people were killed in the attack.
