An explosion happened on Darul Aman road in the west of Kabul on Monday afternoon, Taliban confirmed.
Source said the blast happened near the Taliban-run Attorney General’s office.
Taliban interior ministry spokesman Abdul Mateen Qanay did not provide details about possible casualties and the type of the blast. However, a video seen by Amu and widely circulated by Taliban figures on social media shows the body of a suicide bomber on the ground after the blast.
The suicide bombing is one of the few incidents that have happened in Kabul over the past three years. During this period, attacks have happened in the form of bombing, most of which have targeted civilians.
