DOHA, Qatar — The Taliban delegation, led by Zabihullah Mujahid, met with Russian special envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov on the sidelines of the third Doha meeting.
Mujahid noted on X that the two sides discussed bilateral ties, with the Russian side expressing support for the Taliban’s stance.
The Taliban delegation’s participation in the third round of the Doha meeting has sparked widespread reactions among Afghan women and human rights defenders.
Some women have described the invitation to the Taliban as a “compromise by the international community with a terrorist group.”
