Abdul Manan Omari, Taliban’s Minister of Labor and brother of Taliban’s former leader, is participating in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in Russia, according to a Taliban statement.
The Taliban-run Ministry of Labor announced in a statement that Omari departed for Russia early Wednesday morning.
Prior to this, Omari had traveled to Qatar.
The forum, which commenced today in St. Petersburg, will run for four days.
This marks the 27th edition of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a significant event that traditionally attracted major investors from the United States and other Western countries before the onset of the Russia-Ukraine war.
