The Taliban-run Ministry of Defense has issued an order to local intelligence agencies to enforce a curfew on public movement after 10 p.m. during the summer months, according to a letter obtained by Amu.

The letter, dated Sunday (June 26), states that only those who are ill or have urgent needs will be permitted to move about after 10 p.m.

While the letter does not specify any particular location, it indicates that the curfew is to be enforced in all “centers and provinces.”

This development comes in the wake of several deadly attacks claimed by ISIS in recent weeks.
