Taliban flogs four in public in Zabul and Nangarhar

The Taliban publicly flogged three individuals in Zabul and one in Nangarhar province on charges of “theft” and “sodomy.”

According to a statement from the Taliban’s supreme court, one of the three in Zabul was sentenced to eight months in prison and 20 lashes, the second to 10 months and 20 lashes, and the third to six months and 10 lashes.

The court stated that in Nangarhar, another individual was sentenced to two years in prison and 30 lashes for theft.

Over the past two years, Taliban has publicly flogged hundreds of people in different provinces on charges of various crimes.
