A notable decrease was observed as nearly 1,200 migrants were repatriated to Afghanistan on Tuesday, Nov. 28, through Chaman and Torkham border crossings, according to Pakistani media reports.
Undocumented migrants returned to Afghanistan in smaller numbers compared to previous days.
The Taliban-run Ministry of Refugees reported on social media platform X that 154 families, totaling 781 individuals, were deported through the Torkham crossing on November 28.
At least 1,500 migrants were repatriated to Afghanistan on Monday, Nov. 27.
Figures from Pakistani media indicate that, since Nov. 1, a total of 257,481 undocumented Afghan migrants have been repatriated to Afghanistan.
UN statistics highlight that, since mid-September, at least 400,000 Afghan migrants have been repatriated to their home country.
