Islamabad has once again accelerated the deportation of Afghan migrants as its July 10 deadline for migrants without valid visas took effect on Friday, the latest in a series of escalating measures against undocumented Afghans since 2023.
Figures from the Taliban’s commission for returnees show that 8,466 Afghans were expelled through the Torkham and Spin Boldak crossings over the past three days, including 2,902 on Thursday.
