A high-level delegation of Tajik security and foreign ministry officials arrived in Kabul on Saturday, marking the first official visit by senior Tajik government representatives to Afghanistan since the Taliban’s return to power in August 2021.
According to the Taliban-controlled state broadcaster, the visit aims to strengthen political, economic, and security ties between the two neighboring countries. The delegation is expected to meet with Taliban officials to discuss bilateral cooperation, the future of Afghanistan’s embassy in Dushanbe, and other unresolved issues.
