KABUL, Afghanistan — The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Monday announced the squad for AfghanAbdalyan — the country’s A team — ahead of the upcoming Tri-Nation Series against Sri Lanka A and Ireland A, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates from April 7 to May 2, 2025.
According to a statement released by the ACB, the series will include seven one-day matches played in a round-robin format, along with two four-day red-ball games — one each against Ireland A and Sri Lanka A.
The tour will begin on April 7 with a four-day match between AfghanAbdalyan and Ireland A. The Tri-Nation One Day Series will commence on April 13, with Ireland A facing Sri Lanka A in the opening fixture. All matches will be held in Abu Dhabi.
Each team will play the others twice, and the top two sides will advance to the final, set for April 25. Following the conclusion of the one-day competition, AfghanAbdalyan will take on Sri Lanka A in the second four-day match, scheduled from April 29 to May 2.
The ACB added that the AfghanAbdalyan squad is currently undergoing training in two separate groups in Nangarhar province, preparing for both white-ball and red-ball formats.

The ACB also named Mohammad Saleem, Khalil Gurbaz, Yama Arab, and Faridoon Dawoodzai as part of the reserve pool for both formats.
