HERAT, Afghanistan — Truck drivers in Herat staged a protest on Wednesday against what they described as disorder and the Taliban’s insistence on placing their own drivers on the Herat-Kandahar route.
According to local sources, Taliban fired on the protesters, injuring one driver.
Taliban has not yet commented on the incident.
