Balzan FC of Malta has signed Afghanistan midfielder Mosawer Ahadi, the club announced on Monday, as reported by local media.
Ahadi, 24, is a versatile attacking player capable of playing as a left midfielder, left winger, right winger, and attacking midfielder. He has spent his career in Finland, playing for seven clubs, most recently Helsinki IFK. Ahadi has made 22 appearances in Finland’s top-flight league.
Internationally, Ahadi has earned seven caps for Afghanistan. He started in Afghanistan’s last four 2026 World Cup qualifying matches, playing against India twice, Qatar, and Kuwait.
In his youth, Ahadi represented Finland at various levels, including the U-15, U-17, and U-18 categories.
