At least four people, including a woman, were killed and 20 others were injured in two separate traffic accidents in the provinces of Kapisa and Laghman, Taliban officials said.
Taliban-run national TV reported that a traffic accident in Kapisa resulted in four fatalities and six injuries.
Taliban’s security chief in Kapisa said the incident occurred on Friday afternoon in the Ala Saie district when a minivan overturned.
Meanwhile, another traffic accident along the Kabul-Jalalabad highway left at least 14 people injured.
Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency reported that this incident took place in the Surkhakan Khirokhail area of Laghman province.
Traffic accidents in these regions frequently result in fatalities and injuries, with deteriorating road conditions and driver negligence cited as primary causes.
