At least 322 families, comprising 583 individuals, were deported by Pakistan and Iran on Thursday, according to the Taliban-run Ministry of Refugees.

The ministry reported that the refugees from Pakistan returned through the Torkham and Spin Boldak crossings, while those from Iran entered via the Abrisham and Islam Qala border crossings.

According to the statement, 90 families returned through Torkham, 91 families through Spin Boldak, and 86 families were deported by Iran.

Human rights organizations have repeatedly voiced concerns over the deportation of Afghan refugees by host countries, citing the numerous challenges in Taliban-run Afghanistan, including limited access to education for girls.
