YAKUTSK, Russia — Afghan boxer Mujtaba Haidari advanced to the semifinals of the Asian Youth Championships after defeating his Russian opponent on Tuesday.
According to the Taliban-run National Boxing Federation, Haidari competed in the 48-kilogram weight class in the eighth edition of the Asian Youth Championships.
The competition took place on Tuesday in Yakutsk, Russia.
