Source: Seven, including four foreign nationals, killed in Bamiyan attack

BAMIYAN, Afghanistan — Seven people, including four foreign nationals and three Afghan citizens, were killed in an armed attack in Bamiyan province in central Afghanistan on Friday, a source aware of the matter said.

According to the source, among the foreign nationals killed in the attack, which occurred in Bamiyan city, was a woman.

Taliban have not disclosed the identities of the victims, but the source indicated that the foreign nationals were Russian citizens.

Taliban reported the death toll as four, including three foreign nationals and one Afghan citizen. They also stated that four people were injured, including three foreign nationals. According to the source, seven others were injured in the incident.

The source added that the attack was carried out by an armed individual dressed in Taliban attire, who fled the scene afterward.

Taliban said they have arrested four individuals in connection with the incident.

According to the source, hospital doctors have been prohibited by the Taliban from contacting others.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
