Sources: Pakistani strikes kill five in eastern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan — Pakistani rocket attacks have killed four people and injured four others in the Dand Patan district of Paktia province, according to local sources.

Two sources from Dand-e-Patan told Amu that among the dead are a woman and a child.

In addition, sources in the Zazi Aryub district of Paktia reported ongoing clashes between the Taliban and Pakistani forces.

The fighting, which began five days ago, has been attributed by some sources to the construction of a Pakistani military post in disputed areas.

Wali Mohammad, a tribal elder in Zazi Aryub, emphasized that the issue should be resolved through dialogue.
