BAMYAN, Afghanistan — Bamiyan residents told Amu that several foreign tourists and Afghan citizens accompanying them were targeted by unknown gunmen.
Sources said the incident occurred in the Bamiyan city market in central Afghanistan.
There is no precise information on casualties yet, and the Taliban have not issued a statement.
Some Bamiyan residents report that parts of the city have been cordoned off.
