Taliban’s supreme court announced Tuesday that a man was publicly whipped in Kabul on charges of “sodomy”.
According to a Taliban statement, the individual received 39 lashes and was sentenced to one year in prison.
The statement did not disclose the identity of the individual.
In less than two years, the Taliban have whipped hundreds of individuals across various provinces on various charges.
