West: Partners mobilizing emergency relief for Afghan flood victims

The U.S. special envoy for Afghanistan, Thomas West, said the United States is “deeply saddened” by the impact of recent floods in Afghanistan, which have affected many lives.

“Our implementing partners are mobilizing emergency relief, including food, water, and other essential materials to communities in the gravest need,” West stated on X.

According to data from the Taliban, the floods have killed over 300 people in several parts of Baghlan province.
