Seven killed in targeted attack in Balochistan’s Gwadar

GWADAR, Pakistan — Seven laborers from Punjab province were killed in a targeted attack in Gwadar, Balochistan, local media reported Thursday amid rising militancy in the country.

According to Dunya News, assailants stormed a residential quarter near the fish harbor in the Sarbandar area of Gwadar and fired indiscriminately at the sleeping occupants.

Provincial authorities responded swiftly, cordoning off the area.

The bodies were transferred to a morgue for autopsies, and the injured were given medical attention at Gwadar Hospital.
