HERAT, Afghanistan — Taliban’s vice and virtue members have arrested four shopkeepers in western province of Herat for celebrating a futsal team’s victory with the Atan dance, local sources confirmed.
According to these sources, the individuals were initially detained in a container, with three of them released after two days.
However, sources indicate that one shopkeeper, Shah Maqsood, remains in custody for allegedly carrying the flag of the former government, and his current condition remains unknown.
The Taliban has yet to comment on the matter.
