Gaza receives airdropped aid amid ongoing conflict

Airdrops of aid were delivered to Gaza on Sunday as smoke rose near the territory’s border with Israel, marking the continuation of hostilities now in their seventh month.

Details regarding the cause and specific location of the observed smoke remain unclear.

The conflict escalated on Oct. 7 when Hamas fighters attacked several Israeli towns, resulting in 1,200 deaths and 253 abductions, as reported by Israeli authorities.

According to health officials in Gaza, the ongoing Israeli military actions have resulted in over 34,000 casualties in the region.
