Afghanistan: Flash floods in Farah province claim four lives

FARAH, Afghanistan — Taliban officials reported that recent heavy rains and flash floods in Farah province in western Afghanistan have resulted in the deaths of four people, including a child.

Israel Sayar, the head of the Taliban’s natural disaster response in Farah, also noted that one person was injured and significant property damage occurred due to the flooding.

Recent heavy rains and floods have caused significant loss of life and property.

Taliban’s disaster management authority reported on Sunday that the inclement weather across the provinces resulted in 33 deaths and 27 injuries.

Additionally, 606 homes have been destroyed, and 200 livestock lost.
