Landslide, lightning strikes in southern Afghanistan kill two

KABUL, Afghanistan — Two people were killed and three others were injured due to a landslide and lightning strikes in southern provinces of Helmand and Kandahar, according to local sources.

In Kandahar’s Spin Boldak district, a landslide claimed the life of one individual, sources said.

Meanwhile, separate lightning incidents in the districts of Babaji and Greshk in Helmand resulted in one fatality and three injuries, according to sources.
