The Taliban executed a public flogging of a man in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan on charges of theft on Sunday.
According to a statement from the Taliban Supreme Court, the individual received 30 lashes and was sentenced to two years in prison.
Over the past two years, the Taliban has conducted public floggings of hundreds of individuals across various provinces for assorted crimes.
Most recently, six people were publicly flogged in Logar province.
