Four killed in traffic accident in Baghlan province

BAGHLAN, Afghanistan — A traffic collision in the Doshi district of northern Baghlan province in the north of the country claimed the lives of four people, including a woman and a child, Taliban security commander for Baghlan, Shabir Ahmad Burhani, said Thursday.

The incident involved a car and a cargo truck, according to the Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency, which cited Burhani.

The precise cause of the crash remains unclear, though traffic accidents in Afghanistan are frequently attributed to driver negligence and the poor condition of roads.
