Kandahar journalist in Taliban custody for past four days, sources say

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — The Taliban has detained Jamshid Zawab, a freelance journalist, in Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan, according to sources.

Zawab has been in Taliban custody for the past four days, the sources added.

There has been no comment from the Taliban on the matter so far.

This detention follows the arrest of four journalists in Kunduz last week, with only one having been released to date.
