The Salang Pass, a crucial route connecting Kabul with northern provinces, was reopened to traffic in the early hours of Sunday morning, the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Works announced.
The pass had been closed since Saturday evening due to heavy snowfall and storms.
Officials stated that the route was reopened around 3 a.m. local time on Sunday.
