Sources reported clashes between Taliban and Pakistani soldiers in the border areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan in the Dand-e-Patan district of eastern Paktia province on Monday morning.
The sources added that the clash was ongoing sporadically.
The Taliban has not yet commented on the incident.
This incident follows a Pakistani military airstrike in parts of the Barmal district in Paktika and the Spera district in Khost on Monday morning.
