15 die, 30 injured in heavy snowfalls across Afghanistan

At least 15 people have died and nearly 30 others were injured due to heavy snowfalls over the last three days across Afghanistan.

Reports indicate that along with human casualties in the provinces of Balkh and Faryab, approximately 10,000 livestock also perished during this period.

Misbahuddin Mustaeen, a spokesman for the Taliban’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, informed the media that a committee has been formed to address the fallout from the severe weather.

Taliban officials have reported that many highways and roads, especially in the northern and western provinces, have been closed due to the heavy snowfalls.
