More than 300 Afghan migrants deported from Pakistan

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan deported over 300 Afghan migrants on Saturday, Feb. 24, according to Taliban’s Ministry of Refugees.

The ministry stated that the deported individuals included 28 families, who entered Afghanistan through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings.

Pakistan has been expelling undocumented Afghan migrants since last November, citing that approximately 1.73 million are residing illegally within its borders.

Following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, at least 600,000 individuals fled the country due to economic and security concerns, seeking refuge in the neighboring nation.
