Iran’s Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi announced in a recent interview that the country will soon issue “smart temporary residence cards” for foreign nationals, particularly Afghan citizens residing in Iran.
These new cards will consolidate all necessary specifications into a single format.
Vahidi mentioned that the cards have already been printed and will be available soon.
The announcement comes as Iran and Pakistan have increased efforts to expel undocumented Afghan migrants.
