The Taliban carried out public executions of two individuals in Ghazni province on Thursday, citing murder charges.

The Taliban Supreme Court stated that one person was accused of murder in Maidan Wardak province and the other in Ghazni province.

According to the court’s statement, the decision for the executions was made by the three-tiered court system in Ghazni province.

Sources stated that each of the accused was executed with five shots.

The executions took place at Ali Lala Stadium in Ghazni City, with several local Taliban officials in attendance.

This marks the second public execution by the Taliban in nearly two years, following a previous execution in Farah province in December 2022.
