BAGHLAN, Afghanistan — The Freedom Front, an anti-Taliban military group, announced it carried out an attack on the Taliban’s vice and virtue department in northern Baghlan province.
In a statement, the Freedom Front claimed responsibility for the assault, stating it resulted in the death of one Taliban member and injuries to two others.
The attack was a response to the Taliban’s enforcement campaign against women and girls for alleged dress code violations, the Freedom Front said.
As of now, the Taliban has not issued any comments regarding the incident.
