Over 1,100 undocumented Afghan migrants deported from Pakistan in one day

In a continuing crackdown on undocumented immigrants, Pakistan deported 1,175 Afghan migrants on Wednesday, December 27, marking a slight decrease from the previous day’s figures, Pakistani media reported.

The migrants were returned to Afghanistan through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings.

Since November 1, a total of 450,920 undocumented Afghan migrants have been repatriated from Pakistan, according to these reports.

The ongoing deportations from Pakistan have raised concerns about the humanitarian situation of the returnees, who are facing the onset of a harsh winter in Afghanistan.
