Israeli strikes in Gaza’s Rafah kill 20

At least 20 Palestinians were killed in Israeli missile and air strikes targeting three houses in Rafah, a city in southern Gaza, as stated by Gaza health officials on Tuesday.

As Israeli bombardments intensified further north, tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians have converged on Rafah, located near Gaza’s border with Egypt.

Many fear that even in Rafah, they may not be safe.

The Gaza health ministry reported on Monday that the Israeli offensive against the Hamas-controlled enclave has resulted in 19,453 Palestinian deaths and 52,286 injuries over more than two months of conflict.

The escalating conflict, focusing on Hamas targets, has heightened concerns among governments and international organizations regarding the increasing civilian death toll, as well as issues of hunger and homelessness.
