Sources said on Thursday that Fraidun Fakouri, a former manager at Herat Theatre and a well-known actor and director, has been in Taliban custody for the past three days.
According to these sources, Fakouri was apprehended on Tuesday, October 31, in the vicinity of the Science Library in Herat city.
The exact reason for his detention by the Taliban remains unclear. Fakouri has contributed to the Herat theater department for over 30 years.
As of now, the Taliban has not provided any comments or statements regarding Fakouri’s arrest.
