Uzbekistan delegation, led by deputy prime minister, visits Kabul

A 45-member delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov, arrived in Kabul on Sunday.

According to a statement by the Taliban-run Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the primary objective of this visit is to “enhance bilateral trade relations, address transit issues between the two nations, and inaugurate a trade exposition in Kabul.”

The delegation comprises key figures, including Uzbekistan’s ministers of mines, transportation, and commerce, along with leaders of various institutions and businessmen.

Uzbekistan has maintained its relations with the Taliban-run administration in Kabul after the fall of the previous government in August 2021.
