Panjshir emerald auction nets over 3,000 carats for local contractors

Local contractors achieved notable success in procuring contracts for the purchase of at least 3,300 carats of emerald from Panjshir mines during an auction held on Wednesday, as reported by the Taliban.

This marked the fourth occasion on which emerald auctions were organized by officials from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum in Panjshir province, renowned for its abundant emerald resources.

According to the statement, contracts valued at $1.5 million have been established with local companies for the sale of Panjshir emerald.

According to data from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, the proceeds from Panjshir emerald sales through auctions have now reached over $1.4 million.
