One Taliban member killed in Torkham clash, Mujahid confirms

Taliban on Thursday confirmed that one of their members was killed and two more were wounded in Wednesday’s clash at Torkham crossing.

In a chat with Amu, Mujahid blamed Pakistani forces for initiating the clash, adding that the incident is under investigation.

At least four children from Afghanistan were killed following clashes between Taliban and Pakistani forces in the Torkham crossing on Wednesday, said a source from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the source, four Pakistani nationals were wounded in the clashes.

Taliban’s Ministry of Interior in a statement confirmed the clash between Pakistani forces and the Taliban at the Torkham crossing, saying it happened at “Torkham Township” in Momand Dara district of Nangarhar province.

The ministry claimed that the clash was “initiated by Pakistani forces” and was responded to by the Taliban.
