Putin, Erdogan discuss reviving Black Sea grain deal in Sochi talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to talks in Sochi on Monday, stating that their discussions would encompass the situation in Ukraine and the Black Sea grain deal, a matter Moscow had previously abandoned in July.

“We also have something to talk about from the point of view of ensuring security in the region. Of course, we will not ignore issues related to the Ukraine crisis,” Putin affirmed.

Erdogan emphasized that the Ukraine grain export corridor constituted the most crucial topic in his discussions with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on Monday. He underscored that the message following their meeting would mark a pivotal step.
