Nine dead in bus and truck collision in Zabul province

A collision between a passenger bus and a cargo truck in the city of Qalat, Zabul province, on Thursday morning, resulted in the death of nine people and left 31 others injured, sources said Thursday.

The Taliban has confirmed the accident, stating that the bodies of the victims and injured individuals have been taken to hospital.

This comes after 24 people died in a traffic accident in the northern Sar-e-Pul province of the country on Wednesday.

The Taliban said that the accident happened after a minibus rolled in a remote area in the Sayad district of the province at around 2 pm.

According to reports, 12 women, eight children, and four men were among the victims.
