Pakistani army convoy targeted in motorbike bomb blast

As many as 19 Pakistani soldiers have been wounded in an explosion targeting an army convoy in the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Pakistan media reported that an explosive-loaded motorbike hit the military convoy close to the Tank Road Chakan in the Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday morning.

The injured have been transported to hospital.

A number of local journalists, however, reported that two army personnel were killed in the blast.

Pakistan’s army has not commented in this regard so far.

According to reports, the police have launched an investigation into the incident.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
