Unidentified armed men shot and killed a man in northern Takhar province early Tuesday morning, local sources told Amu.
The victim, identified as Abdul Kabir, was gunned down near the Naeb Mosque in the Chah Ab district, the sources said. He reportedly owned and operated a car repair workshop in the area.
The attack occurred around 7 a.m. local time, according to residents, who said the gunmen fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
The motive for the killing remains unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility.
Local Taliban authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
