A female doctor was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen Sunday morning in Jalalabad, the center of the eastern province of Nangarhar, local sources said.
The attack took place in the Alfath Mina neighborhood, near the provincial police headquarters, according to the sources.
Family members said she had no personal disputes with anyone and was on her way to work in her personal car when she was targeted and fatally shot.
Taliban have not commented on the incident.
