Body of missing taxi driver found in Kandahar: Sources

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — The body of a young man, reportedly a taxi driver, was discovered in the Mianko area of Police District 12 in Kandahar City, local sources told Amu TV on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the driver had been hired by a group of passengers on Tuesday to travel toward the Khakrez district, but his phone was turned off shortly after departure. His body was found the following day under undisclosed circumstances.

The man’s vehicle remains missing, and sources believe he may have been killed by robbers who stole the car. No arrests have been reported.

Taliban have not commented on the incident.
