KUNDUZ, Afghanistan — A young man was shot and killed in the northern province of Kunduz on Saturday night, local sources told Amu TV.
The victim, identified as Bakhtiar, worked at Kunduz Regional Hospital.
According to sources, he was killed by his cousin, Usman, following a dispute.
The incident occurred during a social gathering, when Usman repeatedly called Bakhtiar’s name, but the victim, preoccupied with his mobile phone, did not respond. In reaction, Usman opened fire, shooting Bakhtiar in the head and killing him instantly.
Taliban have yet to comment on the incident.
